Ovulation is a very important factor in female fertility. A woman is most fertile and more likely to get pregnant when she ovulates. Ovulation is simply the release of mature egg from the ovaries into the fallopian tubes. Here, the egg waits or meets a sperm cell (as the case may be) for fertilization. The egg usually stays in the fallopian tube for about 12-24 hours, waiting for a LUCKY sperm cell to fertilize it. Usually in most women, ovulation occurs mid-way into the menstrual cycle (N.B Your menstrual cycle starts from the day you start menstruating till the day before your next menstruation begins). Some signs of ovulation in some women may include one or more of the following:
- presence of fertile cervical mucus,
- increased sexual desire,
- sustained basal body temperature increase,
- tenderness in the breasts, and
- Mittelschmerz pain (ovulation pain).
Depending on these symptoms alone may be confusing because some of the symptoms can also occur at other times when a woman is not ovulating, hence, the need for PREDICTE OVULATION TEST KIT.
PREDICTE OVULATION TEST KIT is a test-at-home test kit that helps you know when your ovulation will occur. It works by detecting a surge or rise of a hormone called the Luteinizing Hormone (LH) in the urine. The Luteinizing hormone stimulates the release of egg by the ovaries during ovulation. When a woman is about to ovulate, there is usually a surge in the amount of the Luteinizing Hormone produced by her body. Ovulation normally occurs between 24-36 hours after the luteinizing hormone (LH) surge. Sexual intercourse can be timed towards this time to increase the chances of conception. Testing using urine samples gotten very early in the morning are discouraged, as it tends to give a false positive result. Testing should be done from around 12pm- 8pm to get right positive result.
